Family hotel . Friendly staff. Lovely walled garden...needs some attention. Our room was a good size. Possible to walk to Birr from hotel. I thought €119 for room wast expensive without evening meal.

Expensive without meal included. Or lower price for room.

Ideal location close to Birr and wedding we were attending

Free parking and nice quiet room, but plumbing could use improvement.

Good location for walking into Birr.

The room was over the leisure centre and at night I couldn't sleep because of the constant drone from the plant in the centre, the noise couldn't even be blocked out by ear plugs.

The walls are paper thin and I could hear regular conversations next door. Tub is too narrow to stand in.

I was delighted to find that it was just a 10-minute walk to the fine Birr Castle and its beautiful gardens. Plus, the staff were friendly and were pretty good too ensure we had a pleasant experience.

Excellent staff throughout the hotel. Good food & drink. Leisure facilities were good. Cleanliness of room & bathroom.

Nothing negative to say about the hotel only an observation to make that the leisure facilities changing rooms could do with updating.

Well laid out room overlooking the garden. Good location, 15 minutes' walk to a large castle. What a top-class staff!

Amazing room, amazing staff, with a spacious classic king room with great tea and coffee making facilities and a powerful shower, as well as a good breakfast that showcased the hotel's fantastic dining options.

We enjoyed our spacious room with a comfortable bed and excellent cleanliness. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including fresh homemade porridge, a highlight for us. The staff were great.

The check-in process could have been quicker.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly on our arrival to the hotel she also checked us out the following morning and was as pleasent as the previous day. The food was also very nice.

The towels provided for the leisure centre were more like hand towels than bath towels

The breakfast was excellent! The location was great for us because my father grew up right around the corner at Drumbaune.

We had requested a king size bed 10 days before our arival and when we got there we were given a room with 2 beds and were told there were no rooms left with a king size bed.
